Everyone has a right to meaningful employment
EPIC Assist (EPIC) has been helping people with disability find and maintain employment for over 30 years. EPIC is a registered Disability Employment Service (DES) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider.
At EPIC, we believe everyone has the right to meaningful employment. This starts with education for students with disability, to create an easier transition to employment following school.
The EPIC Discover program seeks to close the gap between employment outcomes for mainstream students and those with a disability.
EPIC Discover is a tailored learning of workplace behaviours, employability skills, workplace expectations, work experience and employment, designed to improve employment opportunities and outcomes for young people with disability. The program is delivered to year 12 students.
By donating to the EPIC Discover program, you are providing an opportunity for a student with disability to create an employment future for themselves, bringing many benefits such as independence and financial stability.

EPIC Assist exists so all youth with disability can succeed
Our goal is to make education and employment accessible and inclusive for all. As the experts in disability employment, we have over 30 years of experience helping people with disability find, prepare for, and maintain meaningful employment. By enabling youth to access the unique support they need while still in school, your donation gives students with disability the tools they need to break the cycle of underemployment and thrive in their careers.
The benefits of donating. What’s my impact?
Research shows that children with disability face larger barriers to participating in educational activities and are less likely to transition to higher levels of education or employment. Almost 1 in 5 people with disability aged 15-24 experience discrimination, and these stereotypes and negative attitudes all contribute to greater levels of exclusion.
Education offers the practical skills and knowledge needed to break out of this cycle of exclusion. But children with disability learn at a vast variety of unique and different rates. Over 31% of students with disability do not receive enough support in their education, and many education systems struggle to cater to these unique needs
Our trainers have the experience and skills to support their learning in flexible and adaptive ways that put the student’s needs first. Inclusive education programs such as EPIC Discover have been proven to help break the cycle of exclusion and help people with disability build a future within mainstream society.
No one should get left behind in the classroom. Your donation enables all students with disability to access the tools they need to reach their full potential.
Young people with disability have the same hopes and aspirations as other young people without disability. Whether it’s accessing training and education, earning money, or living on their own, they all strive to create an identity for themselves.
Despite this, graduates with disability take 61.5% longer to gain fulltime employment than other graduates. They are twice as likely to be unemployed compared to people without a disability, and 35% more likely to be underemployed.
Among the biggest factors people with disability face when finding employment are insufficient education or skills (23%) and lack of work experience (18%). Your donation helps students with disability gain critical education, skills, and work experience they need to transition to employment following school. These skills set a student up for success in life where they can build an independent future for themselves.
People with disability regularly report a “lack of voice” or choice in creating their identity, building their future, and accepting responsibility. These barriers to independent living are further impacted by lower participation in and support during education and employment.
By supporting a student with disability to access tailored education designed to kick start their transition from school to employment, you are enabling them to take control of their future and live independently within their community.
From careers counselling to learning essential life skills, financial and sales basics, communication skills, and workplace readiness skills, we give students with disability the tools they need to gain economic and financial security.
Your donation allows the student to be involved in every stage of the decision-making process in their journey to adulthood, so they have autonomy over their own future and control of their identity.
