Tyler – Craignish Country Club, Hervey Bay

Tyler said he didn’t know how he was going to get a job when he finished school because of his intellectual impairment.

I thought that I would be unable to get a job, but EPIC helped me get into my traineeship, and now employment.

Tyler’s traineeship in Horticulture included on the job work experience which led him to be employed at Craignish Country Club near Hervey Bay as a groundskeeper. He loves working outside and takes pride in how the grounds of the golf club are presented.

“Work is important to me because I want to be independent. I want to be able to work hard for what I want in life, and I want to be able to show people that I can work hard for what I want,” Tyler said.
